Actor and former White House Associate Director of Public Engagement, Kal Penn, takes viewers around the world to meet key players behind some of the more serious and bizarre movements in today's economy.

The first of a trilogy of ‘dance’ films (followed by The Bamboo Flute and the as-yet unreleased Priye Charushile), Bhavantarana expands on some of the modes Shahani had first explored in Khayal Gatha. The dance form is the famous Odissi, a form in Orissa that emerged from an earlier folk mode typically performed by young boys. The dancer is one of India’s leading figures, Guru Kelucharan Mahapatra. The film begins with a traditional sculptor hewing a dancer’s image from a piece of stone that he holds down with his feet, expanding from there to links from dance to sculpture, and from folk to classical forms. While several dances come from Mahapatra’s traditional repertory, the finale – the spectacular Navarasa – is choreographed specially for the film.

It is a pattern that appears to be playing out across the globe. Hurricane chasers are recording bigger storms and in Texas, record-breaking rain has been followed by record-breaking drought. 　　Horizon follows the scientists who are trying to understand what's been happening to our weather and investigates if these extremes are a taste of what is to come.

Heartsick from suffering, Orpheus descends into the Underworld to bring his beloved Eurydice who has just died from a snake bite back. The magnificent music played by Orpheus convinces Hades, the god of the Underworld, to free Eurydice, but on one condition: on his way back to Earth, Orpheus must not look back at Eurydice. On finally arriving at the gates of the Underworld, already catching glimpses of trees and bushes, Orpheus looks back. Eurydice disappears forever into darkness. 　　Exterior night. A summer evening on a country road. The headlights of an old vehicle cut through the darkness. This is the original truck from Happy as Lazzaro (2018) , used by the protagonist family in Alice Rohrwacher’s film to collect objects to be resold. It has now been transformed into a travelling cinema with a white sheet hanging from a tubular steel structure forming a screen, like a window looking out onto another world.
